Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) Surat, popularly known as the National Institute of Technology, Surat, was established by the Parliament of India in 1961. The institute ranks 54 amongst top engineering colleges in all India as per NIRF 2020. At present, the institute is offering six UG Programmes, eighteen PG Programmes, three M.Sc Integrated Programmes, and Doctoral Programmes for each of the programs.
The institute functions under 9 departments to offer undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. The institute is equipped with facilities like Central-Library, Hostels, Canteens, Smart Classes, Guest House, Health Center, etc. Admissions to all courses are offered on the basis of entrance tests. SVNIT Surat is a UGC-recognized university and has secured 15th rank in the engineering category by NIRF 2021.
