IIIT Hyderabad Admission Process

For UG courses

The candidates need to possess a valid score of JEE Main. In case a candidate has not appeared for JEE Main exam, admission will be done either on the basis of Olympiads or UGEE conducted by the college itself

For PG courses

the admissions are conducted through the PGEE score followed by an interview. The students who are GATE qualified are exempted from the entrance exam

Admission to the PGSSP is based on the academic and professional record of a candidate

Admissions to PhD is offered through a written exam followed by an interview

IIIT Hyderabad BTech Admission 

• IIIT Hyderabad mainly offers two BTech courses at the UG level. The institute also has the provision of Lateral Entry to Dual Degree Research courses. There are total of 6 modes for undergraduate admissions including UGEE, SPEC, LEEE, Olympiad/KVPY, DASA and JEE (Mains) Score.
  
• UGEE: Admission will be based on performance in the entrance examination and interview. Both are conducted by IIIT-H.
  
• SPEC: Admission will be based on performance in a computer-based entrance exam and interview. Both are conducted by IIIT-H. The exam is usually held in the month of April.
  
• LEEE: This mode is specifically for the lateral admission into IIIT Hyderabad.
  
• Olympiad/KVPY: This mode if for admissions for the candidates who got some distinction, like, being selected for Olympiads at the national level or earned a high rank in KVPY. Such applicants are eligible to apply for our dual degree programmes. The candidate must have KVPY, NTS or equivalent (e.g., JBSTS), Olympiad awards to be eligible for admission without having appeared for JEE Main.
  
• DASA and JEE (Mains): All the UG admissions including DASA are through direct counselling.
  

IIIT Hyderabad PG Admission : MTech, MSc, MSIT

• IIIT Hyderabad mainly offers mainly 2 branches under its MTech programme and there are a total of 3 modes for admissions for PG prograammes.
  
• PGEE: Admissions will be based on performance in an entrance test and interview
  
• Standing Committee: Candidates who give an extra-ordinary academic performance and R&D experience can apply through this mode
  
• PGSSP: Admissions are open generally in Monsoon and Spring semesters every year
  

Eligibility Criteria For M.TECH

BE/ Btech degree in the respective or relevant branch including CSE/ ECE/ EEE/ Civil/ Biotechnology

Or

BArch, Master's degree in Science/Mathematics/ Information Technology/Computers/MCA Programme.
