The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) brand has now become synonymous to innovation, talent and zeal for success and contribution in management. Government of India established IIM Jammu in Jammu and Kashmir in 2016. IIM Jammu inaugurated its Off-Campus at Srinagar on January 24, 2020. From very beginning, IIM Jammu has set high standards for outstanding value based quality education, high quality research, executive education, consultancy and strong corporate as well as international linkages. IIM Jammu encourages contemporary research concentrating on regional, national and global issues.

IIM Jammu offers following programs:

Doctoral Program, Post-Graduate Program, Executive Education, Faculty Development Programs.

Presently, IIM Jammu operates from the Old University Campus, Canal Road, Jammu. The proposed 200 acres of state-of-the-art campus is coming up at Jagati, 14 Kms. from Jammu City, about 16 Kms. from Jammu Railway Station and 18 Kms. from Jammu Airport. The proposed Campus will be a blissful mix of modern architecture, culture and heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.

Awards:

  1. Prof. B S Sahay has been awarded Honorary Fellow, Indian Institute of Materials Management. The Fellowship Award was conferred on 28th Nov. 2014.
  2. Prof. B S Sahay won the IIT Delhi Alumni Association Award for Outstanding Contribution to National Development 2010-11. The Award was given on 30th April 2011.
  3. Prof. B S Sahay has been awarded BIT Sindri Distinguished Alumnus Award 2010. The Award was given by BIT Sindri on it Diamond Jubilee Celebration on 21st November 2010.
  4. Prof. B S Sahay has been awarded Fellow of Indian Institute of Industrial Engineering was conferred in 2000 for outstanding contribution in the area of productivity and industrial engineering.
  5. Prof. B S Sahay won the Life Time Achievement Award 2017. The Award was given by India CSR and Asia Pacific Institute of Management on 3rd March 2017.
  6. Prof. B S Sahay won the Amity Academic Excellence Award 2016. The Award was given second time by Amity University on 4th Feb. 2016.
  7. Prof. B S Sahay won the Award for Outstanding Contribution to Education, 2015. The award was given at the 2017 World Education Congress on 23rd July 2015.
  8. Prof. B S Sahay won the CSR Award for Excellence 2015. The Award was given by Competition Success Review.
  9. Prof. B S Sahay won the Amity Academic Excellence Award 2015. The Award was given by Amity University on 26th Feb. 2015.
  10. Prof. B S Sahay won the Best Director Award, 2009. The Award was given by DNA and Stars of the Industry Group in recognition of ‘leadership, development, innovation and industry interface of Business School’.

  12. Prof. B S Sahay won the Deccan Herald Best Teacher Award (North), 2008. The Award was given for significant contribution in developing leadership and shaping the destiny of young professionals and as an architect of their careers
  13. Prof. B S Sahay won the ISTD National Book Award, 2007 for my book on Supply Chain Modelling & Solutions (Macmillan) for the outstanding contribution to the understanding of management principles and practices.
  14. Prof. B S Sahay won the Emerald 2005 Award for Excellence (Highly Commended Award) for Managing the Transition Phases in the TQM Journey: A System Dynamics, published in International Journal of Quality & Reliability Management, Vol. 21, No. 5, 2004.
  15. Prof. B S Sahay won the Award of Excellence in Research 2004 given by Management Development Institute Gurgaon, for the outstanding contribution in the area of research and publications.
  16. Prof. B S Sahay won the ISTD National Book Award, 2001 for his book on World Class Manufacturing: A Strategic Perspective (Macmillan) for the outstanding contribution to the understanding of management principles and practices.

Courses Offered

MBA Admission Policy 2021

This document summarizes the approach of IIM Jammu to prepare the admission list for its MBA Batch 2021-23. The batch size is likely to be around 240. IIM Jammu reserves the right to modify any part of this document including the various criteria and cut offs mentioned at any time till the actual admission process for the batch is completed.

The admission process of IIM Jammu consists of:

  • CAT Examination
  • Shortlisting candidates for Personal Interview (PI) process.
  • Conducting the Personal Interview (PI) process: The 9 IIMs (IIM Jammu, IIM Bodhgaya, IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Sirmaur, IIM Trichy and IIM Udaipur) together will conduct Personal Interview (PI) through common admission process (CAP 2021 process) to be coordinated this year by IIM Raipur.
  • In addition to the Common Admission Process as mentioned, IIM Jammu conducts an additional Supplementary Admission Process (SAP 2021) for conducting Personal Interview (PI) process for candidates who meet IIM Jammu's PI shortlisting criteria but do not meet the CAP 2021 cut off criteria.
  • Preparing the Merit List based on CAT score, PI score and Profile score as indicated in the following tables.
  • Last date for withdrawal of Provisional admission offer and refund of Fee Paid: 05:30 PM, July 12, 2021.

Admission Process For Ph. D Programs

The admission process of IIM Jammu consists of:

  • Short listing of candidates for Personal Interview (PI) process.
  • Conducting the PI Process
  • Preparing the Merit List based on the Admission Criteria and PI Process

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications

Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications to apply for IIM Jammu’s doctoral program:

A Master's Degree (bachelor’s degree obtained in 10+2+3 pattern, followed by a master’s degree ) or a 5 year Integrated Master’s Degree (obtained after completing higher secondary schooling in 10+2 pattern) in any discipline, with at least 60  percent marks in the bachelor’s as well as in the master’s degree.
