Fisheries science is a branch that deals with the managing and understanding of fish and other aquatic creatures. It includes conserving, catching, processing, preserving and marketing of fish. Fisheries science is a multidisciplinary field that uses information from other fields like biology, management, economics, oceonography, limnology and ecology.

The duration of Bachelor of Fisheries Sciences course is four years spread over several semesters which are mostly eight in numbers. Fisheries Inspector: A fishery inspector is in charge of managing, monitoring, and protecting farmed and wild fish populations, as well as the lakes, rivers, and other ecosystems in which they live.
