The duration of Bachelor of Fisheries Sciences course is four years spread over several semesters which are mostly eight in numbers. The course can be pursued either as a Full-Time Graduate Course or a Part-Time Graduate Course i.e. through Correspondence or Distance Education depending upon one’s choice. The course is also known as B.Sc. (Fisheries). The course studies habits and breeding of various species of fish.  PhD (Fisheries Aquaculture) is a doctoral level course. The full degree course consists of three year and its syllabus is divide in six semesters. Fisheries Inspector: A fishery inspector is in charge of managing, monitoring, and protecting farmed and wild fish populations, as well as the lakes, rivers, and other ecosystems in which they live.

Aqua Culturist:  An aqua culturist is in charge of aquaculture, which includes developing freshwater species and culturing shellfish, marine finfish, and aquatic plants.

Marine Biologist: A marine biologist is to study and analyze the distribution and evolution of organisms and their environments in the sea.

Hatchery Manager:  A hatchery manager is responsible to oversee and direct the fish hatchery and fish farm activities, working to enhance profit and production through innovation and business management skills.
